Blackberry Venice(Priv) or Nokia C1?

Vishal Shrestha
So 2016 will be the year when the two mobile giants of the past, Nokia and Blackberry will finally be battling against the big guns with  their devices running the Android OS. Nokia has been rumored to release the Nokia C1 running Android and Blackberry has come up with Blackberry Priv (Codenamed- Venice).

I have never owned a Blackberry and I was always a Nokia fan and I am among the ones waiting eagerly for a Nokia with Android. Nonetheless looking at the leaked pictures, Blackberry Priv has caught my attention just as much as the Nokia C1. Both the companies still have their fans but will their devices possess a threat to the likes of devices like Samsung Galaxy S6 or even LG G4 is highly questionable, specially after Nokia Tablet, N1 failed to create a global Stir. It was a success in China and Taiwan but that failed to follow up globally.
Blackberry has bravely introduced the physical qwerty keypad with the Priv, a feature long lost in today's smartphones. I think I would like the sense of physical buttons pressing, however personally I would have preferred if the keypad was in landscape and with some phones of Nokia N series. It would be difficult to type with a physical keyboard in portrait mode with all the tiny buttons cramped up together. But still, Blackberry has managed to make the phone look exceptionally well. Perhaps the loyal business oriented fans of Blackberry will admire this physical keyboard, but it's not as much appealing to me.

Specifications

Blackberry Priv

The rumours are that the device will feature a 5.4-inch display, curved edges and a 2560 x 1440 screen. This should get it up there with Samsung galaxy S6 and G4 on display.
The Privis  is also rumored to sport 1.8GHz 64-bit hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and 3GB RAM. It's also reported to have a rear camera of 18-megapixel and 5-megapixel front-facing cameras.
Blackberry seems to be aiming to go head on with the current leaders. But will this be enough?

Nokia C1

Nokia is not allowed to release phones with Nokia branding until q4 of 2016, but anyways the rumoured specifications of the new Nokia C1 doesn't seem that impressive.
It is supposed to have a 720 x 1280 screen, an 8 MP shooter and 2 GB ram. This will put it there with the mid range phones. Nokia Still has a lot of time. I expect it to go all out and go head on against Samsung, LG and other current giants, the way Blackberry appears to be trying with Priv.

Which one would you pick, Blackberry Priv or Nokia C1? Do any of these devices stand a chance against the current flagship devices?
